Accessibility Information

Shoreditch

The entrance to the bookshop is 90cm wide. The ground floor is completely wheelchair accessible, with no steps or slopes. 

We have a fully wheelchair accessible toilet on site. 

Unfortunately, we do not currently have any baby change facilities available. 

We are a dog-friendly business. Service animals of any kind are welcome across the site. 

Our Shoreditch site is fully air conditioned, typically set to 18°C on the controls. Temperatures may vary depending on guest numbers. 

During the day, we typically keep the front door open to allow for more airflow. On extremely hot or cold days, the door may be closed to allow for better temperature control. 

There are two large windows at the front of our Shoreditch site, providing lots of natural light across the site. We don't currently have any blinds for these, but there are shadier spots towards the back of the shop. The windows are typically kept closed.

Dalston

The entrance to our Dalston site is 117cm wide. The front doors are kept open during trading hours. 

The ground floor is wheelchair accessible, but there is a small 1-2cm lip of tile in front of the bar.

We don't currently have a stairlift to our lower ground floor. There are 12 steps between the ground floor and basement, with another step through the fire door at the bottom. The doorway to the fire escape steps is 74cm wide. 

Both floors of our Dalston site are air-conditioned, when necessary these are supplemented with additional fans to maintain a comfortable temperature. 

We are a dog-friendly business. Service animals of any kind are welcome on site. 

The front of the Dalston site has a very large window, with two additional large windows along the side. We have curtains for the windows along the side of the building. 

We are actively working on installing an accessible bathroom at our Dalston site. Until this is ready for use, the nearest accessible toilet is the Ridley Road toilets, located next to Dalston Kingsland Station. We sincerely apologise for this, and hope to have an update on the installation as soon as possible.
