The dandelion riots

Every year, on her birthday, Drinn Tryba's life is turned upside down. A malicious woman claiming to be her Aunt returns time and again to take Drinn to a new home. For a year her carers are rewarded handsomely, with one caveat: they must never show Drinn any love. Lonely beyond belief, Drinn longs to experience the world outside of her Aunt's cage. Little does she know that the outside world is no friend to girls with powers like hers. Drinn never suspected that freedom would mean being hunted and damned, or that she must never, under any circumstance, fall in love.
